Cllr Haughey said, “I have been contacted by residents of Markethill Road, Cavanagrow about the poor state of their road. It has previously been spread by Road Service but this has been ineffective as there are a number of potholes, poor surface and dangerous verges along the road. I have therefore written to Road Service to request that this road is put on the resurfacing schedule.
“I hope road service will look favourably on my request.
“I have also officially requested road names signage for this road to include the house numbers from Armagh City and District Council. This signage would avoid the confusion there is at present around trying to find houses on this road as its often confused with other ‘Markethill roads’. I trust Armagh Council will agree to this request and I hope these signs can be erected as soon as possible.”
