Hundreds of cyclists from across Ireland took part in the annual charity cycle in aid of Children’s Heartbeat Trust to raise much needed funds and awareness of children with heart conditions.
Lord Mayor Haughey said, “I was touched when I heard about Cody’s story through his aunt Alex and I was delighted to join with Cody’s parents, Grandparents and wider family circle to support this worthy cause.
“Since Cody lost his life, 3 years ago, to a heart condition his parents Stephen and Judith Gallagher have continued to organise this annual charity cycle to raise much needed funding for Children’s Heartbeat Trust, so that other young children with heart conditions can have the best possible treatment and care.
“I commend Stephen and Judith, their efforts are inspirational and the hundreds of cyclists who came out for this event, just goes to show the support there is for Cody’s family and also for this very worthy cause.”
