Lord Mayor Haughey said, "People came from all across Ireland to visit Armagh's unique Georgian Day, which is really the start of Christmas in Armagh City. Up to 20,000 people visited the City on Saturday and they were certainly not disappointed with all the activities and festivities on display. Georgian Day is the perfect setting to showcase Armagh City in the run up to Christmas and I know many people will now come back to pick up special Christmas gifts and products.
"The grand finale lights show was spectacular as children and adults alike enjoyed watching Santa's elves dancing on the wall of the theatre. It was truly magically. It has been a great start to Christmas and I encourage people to shop local this Christmas."
