SDLP Councillor Sharon Haughey has once again backed the Christmas Family Appeal and has urged her constituents across County Armagh to get involved in this worthy Christmas appeal.
Cllr Haughey said, “The Family Appeal is jointly organised by the Salvation Army and Saint Vincent De Paul and is supported by BBC and many local shops and businesses in Armagh.
“The idea of the appeal is to help those less well-off at Christmas. The appeal simply asks for people to purchase a new gift and donate it to help a family in need. That gift can be anything for any age range from a baby right up to teenage years.
“There are collection points across Armagh including The Salvation Army, Society of St Vincent de Paul and the First Trust Bank. A full list of collection points is available online at www.bbc.co.uk/niappeals.
“This Christmas is going to be hard for all those families who are struggling financially, and this appeal aims at helping to make their Christmas just a little bit brighter. I always like to support this worthwhile appeal and I urge people from across Armagh to think of others this winter and give something to the Family Appeal."
