Speaking after the historic win Cllr Haughey said, "This is a magnificent victory for the Minor Camogie Team and I congratulate all the girls, their management and back room team for playing their role in securing All Ireland victory.
"To win an All Ireland title is the ultimate dream for any Gael and for these girls to have such monumental success at a relatively young age is really tremendous and I have no doubt that this is only the beginning for this team.
"Camogie in Armagh has developed hugely over recent years and I commend all those involved in that and my hope now is that the Senior Camogs will bring home the All Ireland title to set beside the Minor silverware."
Concluding Cllr Haughey said, "I have asked Mayor of Armagh City and District Council Cllr Freda Donnelly to hold a reception to mark this wonderful achievement so that the girls can be honoured by Armagh Council."
