Cllr Haughey was first elected in 2005 and since then she has proven to be a very hard working and dedicated councillor working on a wide variety of issues for the entire community in Cusher.
Speaking ahead of the election Cllr Haughey said, “I am greatly indebted to the generosity and kindness of the people of Cusher over the last six years, as I represented them as councillor. I now hope that people will once again come out in their droves to re-elect me to Armagh City and District Council.
“Since my election I have worked very hard for the entire community across Clady, Ballymacnab, Markethill, Mullaghbrack, Poyntzpass, Tandragee, Glenanne and Mountnorris. I have always tried my best to help everyone who has ever come to me looking help and I am delighted that I have been able to make a real difference to so many people’s lives and to all of these communities.
“The last six weeks I have been very busy out knocking doors across Cusher to personally ask local people for their number 1 vote. I have been overwhelmed by the great reception I’m getting and I hope that everyone will make an extra special effort to come out to vote on May 5th.”
