The Lord Mayor was commenting on Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Jonathan Bell’s announcement of Moy Park’s £8million investment to implement a skills and development programme across the group over the next four years.
“Moy Park employs over 6,000 people across its three processing facilities in Craigavon, Dungannon and Ballymena plants and is the second largest employer in the UK poultry sector”, comments Chair of Economic Development Committee Councillor Sharon Haughey Grimley, “this investment is very welcome news for the borough and enables Moy Park to offer a range of training and learning for the entire work force. It means that they can continue to compete on a truly international level”.
