Speaking after Sunday’s Harvest Service, Lord Mayor Haughey said, “I am delighted to be in Mullaghbrack to join with St John’s congregation for Harvest Service and I very much appreciate the invitation from Rev Neville Hughes.
“The new church and community hall is extremely impressive and there is no doubt a lot of hard work has gone into the building and development. I wish Rev Hughes and his whole congregation every success and happiness with the new facility. I hope it will be a central community facility which will be used by all.”
“I also take this opportunity to thank the congregation at St John’s for being so welcoming to me, I really enjoyed the service and am proud as First Citizen of this district to be in attendance.”
