Speaking at the opening night Lord Mayor Haughey said, “I was delighted to be invited by Ramune and Sean to open their new Restaurant and Bistro, The Moody Boar. I am equally delighted that they chose this Palace Stables venue for their new venture.
“As a council we have always thought that this setting was the perfect location for a high calibre restaurant and as we watched the hard work and investment Sean and Ramune have poured into the refurbishment over the last couple of months our confidence has grown that we have found the right people to make that vision a reality. I am sure you will agree with me that the décor and ambiance they have created is very impressive.
“It also comes at a time when the Palace Demesne itself is about to embark on a makeover to make this parkland more inviting to the public, this will include new paths, information and signage and a new state of the art play area with equipment for the young and not so young to enjoy.
“As a council one of our main priorities is to encourage investment and support business in difficult economic times and coupled with the knowledge that tourism is the number one driver to improve economic growth a choice of high quality restaurants and services is vital to ensure visitors have a good experience in our City.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ramune and Sean for their kind hospitality and wish them every success for the future.”
